For the second year in a row, our Industrial Product Design (IPO) students from HOWEST University of Applied Sciences win the nationally organized AGORIA. Student Challenge!
With their team Arok Studio, Cesar Bracaval, Kobe Maes, Jotte Vaes and Rune Bultynck convinced the jury in a competition with strong bachelor's and master's students from different design schools in Belgium.
The challenge came from Superellipse and focused on a current social question: how can we integrate more greenery into urban environments such as facades, rooftops and terraces in a way that is affordable, sustainable, modular and low-maintenance?
The students developed an innovative concept that focuses on modularity, sustainability, affordability and optimal growing conditions for plants. A great example of how design, engineering and sustainability can work together to contribute to climate-proof and liveable cities.
Congratulations to Cesar, Kobe, Jotte and Rune on this wonderful achievement!

Digitizing my grandparents' photo albums and every scan of the printed shots came out with that dot-pattern grit. Used to wrestle with VueScan's descreen filter — ten minutes a photo. This print moire fix does it in seconds and skin tones still look natural.
