HelioTarp was developed to address rising solar exposure and global warming. The tarp uses organic photovoltaic panels to harvest solar energy from the sun while giving shade. At night, a gentle light illuminates the table, powered by the energy which is stored in a battery. HelioTarp is a collaboration between Studio Pauline van Dongen and Floris Schoonderbeek Studio.
